This is where we will keep track of what we have done and plan to do with Rosanne. Thursday She and I had a great session. We talked about what she wanted to do with the helpers that are coming in and did some of the exercises that we would like the helpers to be working on. So they can see what some of the things we do look like and how we work together.
I made about a 10 min video of what we did from about 26 minutes that Darwin captured for us. I hope this gives Amber, Tanya, Susan, Megan and D’Nette and anyone else who wants to help an idea of where she is, (intelligent and aware and comprehends most conversations around her) and of some of her deficits (inability to name objects and people or find the right words even when she knows them. This is not just a speech deficit, she can read them and knows what they mean but can’t come up with them for spoken language.)
If everyone who comes to work with or even just visit leaves a note about what they did together we can help her keep a journal and we can also exchange ideas with each other about what else we need to do or tools we may need on the website or on hand, etc.

I saw Rosanne yesterday ( August 5, 2021) we watched an episode of The Chosen. I asked several
questions and she responded very clearly. I asked her questions about some characters in the Bible I’m not very familiar with and she knew the answers. I felt like the old Rosanne was really shining through😊
I brought her the card holder I made for her and she was happy to have it. I’m hoping to be able to play cards with her soon!
Yesterday Aug 5. I saw Rosanne and read with her the helper letter that I have sent to each of the helpers on our list and some of her children and siblings who responded to Larry’s email request to get in touch with me if they wanted to know more about what to do. We also watched the 10 min Helper video. Larry was there also and saw most of that. I wanted to get permission to share the letter with the helpers and others they designated and both were ok with it. I have added a TED talk by a neuroanatomist who had a stroke to the list of videos on the StrokeEd page. It took her 8 years to fully recover and get back her credentials but she is amazing because she describes her stroke and what she was going through. Rosanne was really impressed by her recovery. We also talked more about a program called “HelpTalk” and went over some phrases that she may want to use by being able to push a button on her phone (if she/they ever find it or she gets a new one – They use iphones in their home and I don’t have any old iphones laying around. I have some old android phones and may fix one up for her but I am not sure how that would work without a phone plan so we are still experimenting). We also talked about Tanya’s visit. Rosanne really enjoyed it. They had to use the tablet or maybe Tanya’s phone (I am not sure) to view it because we still don’t have the streaming part of BYU tv working so she can get to it. I was glad to read Tanya’s comment below. Instead of responding to my comment though, you can just add a comment of your own.
